St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church is the centerpiece and anchor of the Greektown community. Greektown is considered the area surrounding Lombard Street on the North, O'Donnell Street on the South, Haven Street on the West, I-895 on the East and Kane Street where the community of Bayview exists.
The Greektown community is a traditional and vibrant neighborhood destination of SouthEast Baltimore. Known for its large variety of Greek themed restaurants and cafes, many visitors feel transported back in time when the days were less hurried.
Greektown offers the best elements of any neighborhood; safety, close proximity to major highways, a great school, strong churches, and a charming business district. Visitors and residents are fortunate to have the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and SouthEastern Police District within its borders.
Greektown is known as a "great place to be" as it is home to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Annual Festival and Greek Parade. Also, Greektown is within 15 minutes of Downtown Baltimore's Inner Harbor, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, home to the Baltimore Oriole's baseball team, and M&T Bank Stadium, the official home of our pro football team, the Baltimore Ravens.
